“First aid is the line between life and death – and anyone can be a lifesaver.” My name is Sathi, and I have been working as a certified nurse in Sri Lanka for over 18 years. Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand how quick and proper first aid can save lives. Unfortunately, awareness and training in first aid are still not widespread in Sri Lanka. That’s why I decided to volunteer as the District Manager for Jaffna at H.E.I. With the support of H.E.I, I am committed to driving change. In 2024, we launched our first major project and successfully trained 20 instructors and 80 students in first aid. My vision is to improve the safety and health of our communities by spreading first-aid knowledge and skills. I’m excited to continue working with H.E.I and to inspire many more people to get involved in first aid. Together, we make a difference – your support matters!
